š± Exciting Update from our Cordell Secondary Family and Consumer Science (FCS) Program! šæ Thanks to an ODCTE grant funded by the Oklahoma Lottery, our Aerogarden Grow Garden is thriving with various lettuce varieties, and we're branching out to tomatoes, peppers, and herbs.
š©āš³ But that's not all ā in the attached photos, you'll see the proud moment when CHS Culinary students harvested their first lettuce crop! š„šæ Our budding chefs dove into culinary creativity, trying three different dressings for our salads. š± In addition to the Aerogarden success, we've enhanced our kitchen with 3 Kitchenaid mixers, various attachments, safety kits, knife skills practice kits, and food safety kits ā all thanks to the ODCTE grant.
š± Our Juice Plus Tower Garden is set to welcome the thriving plants next week, and we've also invested in a freeze dryer and preservation supplies to master the art of preserving the goodness we grow. š„¦š
