Cordell JH/HS Library is starting Loud Library Days!

This is a new reading incentive reading program for both Jr. High and High School kids!

The goal is a minimum of 4 books a month-Just a book a week!

Every student that completes the goal gets to participate in Loud Library Days which will be a party at the end of the month in the Library! Each book read will also give them a small prize(candy, bookmark, etc)

We will also have prizes for the top readers each month for each grade! As well as a Grand Prize at the end of the year for our Top Reader of all the grades! -Leader board will be posted in the library-


To be able to do this though we need your help! Donations to the library are always appreciated-even if it’s just a couple dollars, it all helps! I also have set up a classroom wishlist on amazon if you would like to purchase items off of it and send it directly to the school! As always, we appreciate you supporting our Blue Devils!!

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Yearbook order forms have been sent home. The FINAL day to order through the school is Thursday, May 15, 2025! Order forms may be turned in to the Elementary Office, JH/HS Office, or to Ms. Johnson. Order forms will be accepted through the end of the day on Thursday. After Thursday, all orders must be placed online. Yearbooks will be delivered at the end of August/beginning of September.

***RESCHEDULE*** Due to the amount of rain we have had over the past several days, the field and long jump pit will most likely not dry out in time to host our Little Olympics on Thursday. We are rescheduling the Elementary Little Olympics for Monday, May 12th. Please see the revised schedule for the order of events for Monday.

We have champions among us! Congratulations to Matthew Rodrique and Tyler Canterberry, who took home 1st Place in Rocket League Duos at the Oklahoma Scholastic Esports (OKSE) Spring State Championships! Tyler also earned State Runner-Up in Chess—an impressive achievement! A huge congratulations to Coach Katie Love for her leadership, dedication, and support in guiding these students to success! Trophies were awarded Monday at the OKSE Championships held at Oklahoma Christian University. Way to represent your school with pride and excellence, Matthew, Tyler, and Coach Love!

A little rain couldn’t dampen the drive of our dynamic girls golf duo! Congratulations to Mackinlee Brunker, your 2A Girls State Champion, and Birdie Brown, this year’s State Runner-Up!
