Cordell High School Academic Team Earns 5th Place at OGPA Conference
The Cordell High School Academic Team recently showcased their knowledge and teamwork at the Oklahoma Great Plains Academic Conference (OGPAC), competing against several schools from across western Oklahoma. The Blue Devils placed 5th overall, earning a total of 1,490 points in the tournament.
Team members representing Cordell were Samuel Lindsey, Turner Jones, Morgan Dixon, Bradley Regier, Deni Brice, Kemper Woodis, and Hunter Hamlett.
The Cordell High School team demonstrated strong collaboration, quick recall, and determination throughout the competition, proudly representing Cordell Public Schools in academic excellence.

Individual honors went to Hoyt Roberts, who placed 5th overall in individual scoring with an impressive 350 points. Team members representing Cordell were Archer Hill, Porter Jones, Dakota Ivey, Hoyt Roberts, Saxon Flores, and Brett Sturgeon. Serving as scorekeepers were Mylee Brunker and Kimber Feltman. The team is coached by Kathy Wedel.

Elk City Regional Opening/Closing Ceremonies Contest✨
Another good run for these kiddos! Our OCC teams traveled to Thomas yesterday afternoon to compete in the Elk City Regional Opening/Closing Ceremonies Contest and we’re proud to announce we’re heading to state!
Cordell placed both teams within the Top 5 out of 16 teams across the region.
Both teams did an amazing job this season! To see their growth from uncertain 8th graders to confident 9th graders has been a blessing to witness🤩

Congratulations are in order for our Cordell FFA Shotgun Sports teams that competed in Thursday mornings Southwest Area Regional Sporting Clay Competition!
Results have been released and we are proud to announce that both teams placed within the Top 5 of their respective division🤩
🌟Cordell Grey placed 5th Overall in the Junior Division with a score of 43-7.
🏅Members: Michael Hileman, Dacks Neeley, Jaxon Jones and Raygan Wehunt.
🌟Cordell Blue (Sr. Team) placed 1st Overall in the Senior Division with a score of 53-9 and will be advancing to the State FFA Sporting Clay Competition in November.
🏅Members: Corben Dobbs, Joe Wilson, Dylan Edison and Briggs Reeves.
🏆Corben Dobbs was the 1st High Individual Senior with a score of 19-14-0-5.
🏆Briggs Reeves was the 4th High Individual Senior with a score of 18-3-14-1.
