Due to a significant increase in student absences related to illness at Cordell Elementary School, Cordell Public Schools will implement a district-wide virtual learning day tomorrow, Friday, January 31, 2025.
This decision was made to prioritize the health and well-being of students and staff. While in-person classes will be suspended for the day, all extracurricular activities will proceed as scheduled.
Cordell Public Schools encourages all students to engage in their virtual learning assignments and thanks families for their cooperation in ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment.

Kennedi Moore, a senior at Cordell High School, made a significant impact at the FCCLA South Region STAR Events. Her level 3 Professional Presentation, "Behind Closed Doors," tackled often-overlooked challenges facing teens, including dating violence and mental health. Kennedi not only sparked important conversations but also provided valuable resource information for both teens and adults. This marks Kennedi's third consecutive year qualifying for regionals, showcasing her ongoing commitment to these critical issues. FCCLA is the student organization linked to the Family and Consumer Science classes (formerly Home Ec) which is currently in its third year being offered at Cordell. #GoBigBlue #FCCLA #mentalhealthawareness #datingviolenceawareness #studentvoice
